Norma Antionette Ceder, age 61, passed away peacefully to the next life, at her home in Manchaca, Texas, with her family on Wednesday, January 14, 2004. She was born on May 28, 1942, in San Antonio, Texas, to Benno and Elda Ahrens. Her family moved to Austin where she met Robert Ceder of Manor, whom she married on May 28, 1960. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert; son, Ray Ceder and wife, Sydney, and their children, Megan and Kelly of Dripping Springs, Texas; son, Monty Ceder and wife, Sherry and their children, Lacy and Chase of Smithville; daughters, Sharon Biddle and husband, Jimmy and their son Darren of Manchaca; one brother, Gerald Ahrens and wife, Marjorie; and one sister, Dorothy and husband, Wilburt Edmunds. Norma and Robert moved to Manchaca where they raised their three children. Norma was active with her children's sports and activities. After her children were raised, she became a successful, independent business woman owning and operating Norma Did It, South Austin Copier and her love of antiques - Wednesday House. She enjoyed her customers and friends. Her passions were family, church, cats, Antiques, German Shepards, planting roses and her monthly meeting with her circle of friends. If she loved you or liked you, she would do anything in the world for you. However, if she didn't, you knew it immediately. She had a good heart and helped a lot of people. The family would like to thank Dr. Sandbach and staff, Patty Almond and Hospice, Father Oliver and many friends. Special thanks to daughter, Sharon for her help in caring for her mother. Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 17, 2004, at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, 4800 Convict Hill Road, Austin, followed by a graveside service in Johnson City. There will be no visitation at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home . Memorial contributions may be made in Norma's memory to Hospice Austin, 301 Cedar Street, Austin, Texas.
