Mr. Anderson, a native of Missouri, lived in California 35 years and Oildale 3 years before moving to Lodi. He had been a gardener for 12 years. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Fruitvale Community Church and a veteran of the U.S. Navy, World War II.
Survivors include his mother, Hallie Hemphill of Oildale; his father, Perry of Missouri; a sister, Ruby Hicks of Oildale; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Wayne Hemphill, Fred Haslum, Ben McClard and Hartzell Elkins.
