FUNERAL SET FOR MRS. HIGGINS
Mrs. Eva Ellen Higgins, 68, of 927 West Sear died Sunday at 7 a.m. in Tulsa, Okla. after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Bratcher Chapel. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral chapel tonight.
Mrs. Higgins was born Eva Ellen Pool, Dec. 15, 1892 ion Bell County and married Joseph D. Higgins Dec. 10, 1911 in Grayson County. He died in 1956. She moved to to Denison from Colbert 16 years ago. Mrs. Higgins was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include five sons, J.D., Clarence,m Cecil and Edward L. Higgins, all of Tulsa, and Lawrence Higgins of Denison; three daughters, Mrs. Hattie Smith and Mrs. Corine Walker, both of Tulsa, and Mrs. Mildred Smith of Denison; three brothers, Wallace Pool of Plainview, Andrew Pool of Denison and Oliver Pool of Whitewright; five sisters, Mrs,. Minnie Roller of Mead, Mrs. Ethel Stone of Sherman, Mrs. Gertie Allen of Tulsa, Mrs. Nellie Dorries of Denison and Mrs. Peal Rea Burbank of California; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
