John P. Buchanan, 77, of 106 South Fourth street, died last evening at the Homeopathic Hospital. He was a son of the late James and Rachael (Supplee) Buchanan and formerly resided in Honeybrook. He was a marble cutter by trade. His wife Margaret (Steward) preceded him in death. Surviving are these children: Ada E. wife of Edgar Edwards, with whom he resided; Myrtle, wife of Sylvester Jacobs, and Paul S. Buchanan, all of this city; Esther, wife of Ralph Houp, Baumstown; also a brother, Joseph Buchanan, Hopewell; three sisters, Mrs. Heber Glass, Joanna Heights; Mrs. Daniel Burkhart, Plowville; Mrs. Catherine Sherman, this city. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 a. m. at the E. Raymond Mohr Funeral Home, Birdsboro, the Rev. Washington Fox, Pottstown, officiating. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Geigertown.
