MILTON — Herman Floyd Guisewite Sr., 76, of North Orbit Drive, Milton, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at the Kramm Health and Rehab Center, Milton.

Born Feb. 23, 1935, in Millheim, he was the son of the late Herman Edwin Guisewite and Rozella (Long) Vanada. His first wife was Leona Shirley Leon (with whom he had 6 children). Then married Patty Mae Buck, Betty Ann Aurand, and Sandra L. Herrold.

Mr. Guisewite had served in the United States Air Force.

He was a truck driver for Kepler Bros., Peerless Transport in Curwensville and Milton Transportation. He also transported mobile homes for Morgan Drive Away in Elkhart, Ind. and worked for Sea World and Universal Studios in Florida with their tram systems.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mark Allen and Elaine Guisewite of Lewisburg; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debra A. and Robert Loreman of Milton and Jean Ann Guisewite of New Columbia; 19 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law Edward and Jean Guisewite of New Berlin; and two sisters Lucy Lloyd of Selinsgrove and Linda Doebler of Milton.

Besides his wife and parents; he was preceded in death by two sons, Herman "Sonny" Guisewite Jr. and Terry Guisewite; a daughter, Regina Smith; and four grandsons, Randy Guisewite, Shawn Guisewite, Kenny Zettlemoyer and Christopher Guisewite.

Friends and relatives will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, where funeral services will follow at 1 with the Rev. Carl Fox officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.

The family will provide flowers and asks that memorial contributions in his name be made to the SPCA, 2801 Bloom Road, Danville, PA 17821; or to the Animal Care Hospital, 308 Hospital Dr., Lewisburg, PA 17837.

"The members of the 482nd FIS, USAF, with whom the deceased served in the late 1950s at Seymour-Johnson AFB in Goldsboro, NC, wish to express condolences on Herman's loss to us all. I also remember a TDY trip to Oceana Naval Air Station for some weeks (Yes, its a Naval Air Station - our runway was being reworked).
