Andy was the son of Andrew Jackson Brown and Alice Latona Poor. Born in Jerseyville, IL along with sisters Ramona; Helen; Dorothy; Alice and brother Buster Bruce. Deep family roots in southern Illinois. The Brown family came from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Andy married Ann and they had one son.

PRATT - Andrew J. Brown, 81, died June 7, 2005, at his home, Pratt.
He was born May 4, 1924, at Jerseyville, Ill., the son of Andrew J. and Alice L. Poor Brown. A resident of Pratt for more than 50 years, he worked for the Pratt County Road Department.
He belonged to First Assembly of God, Pratt.

On Aug. 4, 1944, he married Annie L. Hambree at Pratt. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, A. Allen Brown, Pratt; a sister, Alice Sanborn, Cherokee, Okla.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Faith Chapel, 6th and Hamilton Street, Pratt, with Pastor Jerry Dodson presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Ayers-Calbeck Mortuary, Pratt. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.


Memorials may be sent to the Gifts and Bequest Committee at the Pratt Regional Medical Center, in care of the funeral home.
