She was born August 21, 1922 to Francis Fenton and Mary Ann Edith (Timms) Wetzel in Salt Lake City. She attended Stewart School at the U of U as well as East High School.
She married Peter Dunham Lamb in 1944. They have four sons: Gary, Jon, Scott, and Bill.
Virginia was an active member of the Federal Heights Ward with Relief Society, and Primary, as well as community activities.
She is survived by her beloved husband, sons, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2008 in the Federal Heights Ward Chapel, 1300 East Fairfax Road, Salt Lake City, Utah. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
