George Rudger Adams & Ruby Mae Hancock

George Rudger Adams was the youngest son of David Edward Adams and Caroline Henrietta Lind. He was born in Central, Arizona 1 August 1903. He was only three when his mother passed away. After her death his sisters took care of him. His sister, Carrie, even cried when his father cut Rudger's ringlets off.

He started school in Enterprise (Ashurst) or "Lizard Bump." Before he started school he received a back injury which affected him the rest of his life. The back wheel of a wagon ran over his back. He had many experIences where he was "snatched from death's door" throughout his life.

He met Ruby May Hancock in Miami. She was a sister to his brother, Earl's, wife, Hazel. Rudger said she was first person who would ever sit and listen to his sob stories. They were married in Miami 8 May 1926 by Bishop Waltzer. Two years later they were sealed in the Arizona Temple.

Their first child was born in Miami. Most his large family of twelve were born in Globe, Arizona. Later he moved to Mesa, Arizona where his last three children were born. They moved to California where he worked at the Los Angeles Temple while it was under construction.

George Rudger passed away in Salem, Utah 7 November 1980. Children include: Rudger Irwin, Edwin Verl, Ruby Carole, Lorna Mae, Clara Louise, Jewel Rose, Larry Dean, Wanda Rae, Jeannie Sherryn, Stephen Wayne, Marlin Curtis (twin), and Marla Line (twin).
