OBIT
The many friends in our city of Mrs. Eliza J. McPherson, sister of Mrs. D.M. Wilkinson, will regret to learn of her death, which sad event occurred at her home in Wesson, last Friday morning, after a severe illness of hematuric fever. Mrs. McPherson leaves, in addition to her own bereaved family, a wide circle of relatives and friends to mourn her loss. Her funeral took place on Friday afternoon, at Union Church, in whose cemetery she rests beside her husband, Malcom McPherson. Under their hospitable roof in antebellum times, this writer spent many pleasant days, the memory of their kind attentions
shall never be forgotten. Mrs. McPherson was a Christian of the purest type, and in life and example was a benediction to family and all with whom she came in contact.
The Clarion, Jackson, MS, June 23, 1886.
