Bayard T Lewis, 87, of Pickett, died at 9:30 pm Sunday at Heritage House, Neenah, where he had been since early March.
He was born Jan 19 1881, in Omro, the son of John and Abigail Lewis. On Jun 28, 1911, he married Marguerite Pinch, who preceded him in death April 2 1968.
Mr Lewis attended Omro schools and Oshkosh Business College, and was the owner of Pickett Lumber Yard there for 52 years, retiring in 1959.
He was a member of palm Lodge 168, Masonic Lodge of Omro, and a 50 year member of the Winnebago Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, Lodge 43, of Omro.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Kenneth (Beatrice)Liesch of Leona; Mrs Donald (Eloise) Sagel of Chicago, and Mrs Thomas E (Yvonne) Thompson of Hoffman Estates, IL. a sister Mrs Bessie Bridgeman of Madison, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 PM Wednesday at the Seefeld Funeral Home, Oshkosh. The Rev. Donald Olski will officiate. Burial will be in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett.
