Obituary: At 12:30 o'clock on Thursday morning of last week occurred the death of Miss Laura J. Jones at her home at Seeley Creek. The deceased was sixty-eight years of age and together with her sister, Miss Julia Jones, had been a life-long resident at the old homestead. Miss Jones was a thorough consistent Christian woman, whose many truly good character traits made for her an endless number of friends. Beside her sister, two brothers, Finley M. and Philo Jones both of Seeley Creek, and several nephews and nieces survive her. The funeral was held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Dr. Huff of Pine City officiated. Interment was in the Webb Mills Cemetery. A correspondent writes us: "The sisters and brothers have lived in the closest companionship from childhood up to old age, and so near that the street only divided their homes." At the funeral Mrs. Harry Holliday, of Elmira, sang sweetly two selections. The house was filled with sorrowing friends, and the casket, covered with beautiful flowers.
