Anna Irene Welty, age 95, of 107 Lakin Avenue, Boonsboro, died Sunday, January 21, 2001, at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born July 21, 1905 near Boonsboro, she was a daughter of the late Carmie Benton and Edna Daisy Smith Hutzell.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Edgar Welty, Nov. 2, 1983.
She was formerly employed as a caretaker with Boonsboro Cemetery.
She was a member of Beaver Creek Christian Church.
She was a member of the Boonsboro Vol. Fire Co. ladies auxiliary.
She is survived by one son, Vaughn R. Welty, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Agnes Catherine Crowl.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Bast Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. The Rev. J. Mark Curran will officiate. Burial will be in Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
