Born in Frostburg, Md., he was the son of the late David and Viola (Coder) Greening.
He was a member of Black Rock Church of the Brethren. He had been employed as a mining engineer and superintendent of General Mining Associates, Hokes Station. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the African Theatre of Operations.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Robert M. Greening, Hanover; a daughter, Winifred M. Wentz, Dillsburg; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, with his pastor, the Rev. L. Gene Bucher, officiating. There will be no viewing.
