Hugh W. COOK, 70, Kewanna, died early Sunday morning at his home after a short illness. Cause of death has not been determined. A native of Kewanna, he was born Dec. 26, 1879 to Oliver E. and Margaret WILSON COOK. He was a member of the Methodist church. Mr. Cook lived in Chicago for several years, where he was connected with Allis- Chalmers. His wife, the former Lucille LEITER, died last April. Surviving are a son, Jack [COOK] in Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie HEIMBURGER, Lafayette, and Mrs. Mabel COSTELLO, Michigan City; a brother, Charles [COOK], Madison, Wis., and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Harrison chapel in Kewanna with the Rev . Charles W. COOK officiating. Burial will be in the Kewanna I.O.O.F. cemetery. Friends may call at the Harrison funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
