Mr. Hayden was a truck driver for Peerless Wire Goods for 13 years. Before that, he worked for Conoco Oil. He served in the Navy during World War II. He attended Congress Street United Methodist Church, and was a member of Eagles Lodge, Aerie 347, Lafayette.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, David L. Hayden of Lafayette and Allen Hayden of Findlay, OH; a sister, Mrs. Betty Maxine Slagle of Lakeland, FL; and six grandchildren.
