Jewel Faye York, 88, of Kennesaw, Cobb County, Georgia, formerly of Clayton, Rabun County, Georgia, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Gwinnett County, Georgia.
Born April 12, 1923, in Rabun County, Georgia, she is the daughter of the late Northily Clinton "Clint" York and Lula M. Eller York.
She was an accountant (retired) with Lockheed Corporation and was of the Baptist faith.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Knox Clinton York; a brother, Chester Jerome York; and by a sister, Nancy Lucille York Williams.
Surviving are her brother, Dutch Lee York, Canton, Georgia; and several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
