Mac Winston was a veteran, TENNESSEE PVT CO C 31 ENGR TNG BN WWll.

Mack Winston of Route 1, Martin, was pronounced dead on arrival at Volunteer General Hospital last Monday night. Death occurred from an apparent heart attack. He was 56.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Rita Winston; five sons, Ronnie Winston, William Winston, Allen Winston, Rickey Winston, and Randy Winston, all of Martin; seven daughters, Mrs. Peggy Baker of Lansing, Michigan; and the Misses Barbara Winston, Mary Nell Winston, Nancy Winston, Lisa Winston, and Cindy Winston, all of Martin; his father, Rip Winston of Martin; one brother, Tom Winston of Martin; five sisters, Mrs. Pauline Davidson, Mrs. Lena Cox, Mrs. Louise Snider, and Mrs. Monty Tuck, all of Martin; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services were held by Doug Murphy Thursday afternoon at the Doug Murphy Chapel. Burial was in East Side Cemetery with Doug Murphy Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Cecil Prince, Jack Brackett, Morris Vowell, Jr., Carl Davidson, Elmer Thedford, and Thomas Stewart.
