John A. King Dies Friday Afternoon
John A. King, 70, barber for a half-century in Blooming Grove and Corsicana, died in Memorial Hospital Friday afternoon following a short illness.
Funeral services were to be held from the First Methodist church in Blooming Grove Saturday at 3 p. m. with burial in Rose Hill cemetery.
The rites were to be conducted by Rev. Roy H. Davis, pastor, assisted by Rev. C. R. Adcox, pastor of the First Baptist church.
King resided in Blooming Grove but had been connected with barbershops in Corsicana for many years.
Surviving are his wife of Blooming Grove; three sons, J. A. King, Jr., Dallas; Bassett King, Dayton and Billy King, Concord, N. C.; two daughters, Mrs. Eston Batton, Kerens, and Mrs. R. L. Williams, Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Pace, Waco, and Mrs. Emma Hudson, McKinney; eight grandchildren, and other relatives.
