A native of Transylvania County,
he lived most of his life in Mars Hill
and had lived in Asheville the past 24
years. He was a member of Trinity
Baptist Church and was preceded in
death by à son, James Howell.
Surviving are his fiancee, Brenda
Shepard of the home; daughters, Tra-
cy Jodry, Stacey Howell and Robble
Howell, all of Asheville; son, Rodney
Howell of Asheville; parents, Orville
and Ellen Burleson Howell of Mars
Hill; brother, Roger Howell of Mars
Hill; five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday
at Capps Funeral Home, Mars Hill.
The Revs. Billy Murray and Ralph
Sexton Jr. will officiate. Burial will be
in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Enka.
