Obituary of Frank J. Rice
Frank J. Rice, son of John Rice and Caroline Troendle, was born at Lycurgus, Iowa, February 6, 1883 and died at the Fayette County Hospital, February 7, 1970.
He was married to Ruby Kaeser and 3 sons were born to this union.
February 28, 1922, he was married to Emma Lenth who preceded him in death in May 1969.
For the past 9 years they had been living in Elgin.
He is survived by his sons, Ellsworth, Oak Park, Ill.; Don of Walnut, California; Glen of Waukon, Iowa; and a stepson, Lyle Lenth of Rockford, Illinois.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Muehlethaler Funeral Home, with Rev. Delbert Dawes officiating. Burial was made in the Elgin Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leo and David Boleyn, Raymond Erhardt, Orville Moore, Norris Capper, and Joe Brackin.
