Eva L. Neighbor, 104, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center, died there Sunday, Aug. 25, 1996, following a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Alburnett Christian Church, Alburnett, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today. The Rev. Bob Lawrence will officiate. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett. Arrangements are with Murdoch Funeral Home, Marion.
Survivors include a son, Morris and wife Betty of Marion; a brother, Lawrence Workman of El Toro, Calif.; a sister, Irma Cox of Redland, Calif.; three grandchildren, Kent Neighbor and wife Kay of Winthrop, Douglas Neighbor and wife Marva and Gene Neighbor and wife Jean, all of Alburnett; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, daughter Mardine; and six brothers.
Eva was born March 1, 1892, in Western, Iowa, to Franklin and Gertrude Cherry Workman. She married Benjamin Neighbor in 1915. He died Aug. 11, 1962. She was a homemaker and a member of Alburnett Christian Church.
