Donald was born to Phillip and Dollie Walker. Donald worked for Simpson Paper Mill and retired in 1999. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, all sports, watching wrestling on TV, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Donald was an inspiration to his family with his perseverance and good attitude about life in spite of ailing health. Donald was a member of the Highlands Church of Christ, where he was an associate minister and an Elder of the church. He was a Bible class teacher all his adult life and was well versed in scripture. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Walker and Dollie Sherron; Harold and Gladys Patton; and sister Laverne Savant. Donald is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Janette Walker of Highlands; 2 daughters, Terry Wright and husband Todd of Baytown, Andrea Brown and husband Kenneth of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Leah Wright, Rachel Wright, Addison Brown, Avery Brown, Kayla Brown, Collin Brown; sisters, Betty Debes of Beaumont, Maxine Sherron of Houston, Glenda Harvey of Baytown; brothers, Douglas Sharron of San Antonio, Jackie Earl Sharron of La.; special nurse, Bridgett Hunt of Beaumont; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
