Jack was born August 5, 1921 in San Francisco. California a son of David William Allen and Eleanor Stevens Allen.
Jack served in the U.S. Marines Corps. in WW ll.
He married lvolene Hunsaker on January 22, 1960 in Ogden. Utah. Jack was a Wild Life Biologist and worked at the Bird Refuge.
He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Jack was very active in his children lives, he was a PTA President at the Lincoln School, he worked in Scouting as a Pack Committee Chairman and he was a Scout Master for Troop 322, he received a Silver Beaver Award in 1971. He was a Football Coach for Little League for about nine years and a Baseball Coach for Little League and Pony League for about five years.
Surviving are his wife lvolene; children, Shari C. (Bob) Goodrich. Kaysville; John R. (Peqqy) Gibson, Brigham City; Robin David Allen; Brigham City, six grandchildren, Brent R. (Lori) Dalley Bountiful; John B. Dalley, Salt Lake City; Stacie A. Gibson, Brigham City; Shantell M. Dalley, Kaysville; Joshua (Kamela) Gibson, Brigham City; David A. Dalley, Salt Lake Clty; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brigham city cemetery, 300 S. 300 E. Brigham City.
Friends may call on Wednesday October 22, 2003 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City.
lnterment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by VFW Post #1695.
