The Taylor family left the Cuba area in 1919 and they have made their home in California since 1927. He was working for the U.P.Hunt Transportation Company of Pomona, CA, and was on duty at the time he received his fatal injuries.
Those who survive his untimely passing are his mother, Mrs. Florence Taylor, one brother, Arthur, and one sister, Miss Lydia Taylor. His father passed away in 1950.
Funeral services were held at the Oak Hill Baptist Church, Oak Hill, MO., Sunday, Sept. 9 at 2 p.m. with Rev. W.J. Young officiating. The body was laid to rest beside his father, the late Joseph Taylor in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
