He was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He was married Jan 31, 1946 to the former Sarah Yoder who died Sep 13, 1975 and was married May 14, 1978 to the former Mary N Troyer who survives him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 2 sons Marvin (Anna Jean) Hershberger of Bergholz, OH and Allen (Miriam) Hershberger of Sugarcreek, 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and first wife, he is preceded in death by 4 brothers Noah, Henry, Eli and Roman and 2 sisters Ada and Mae.
