MACOMB, Ill., Feb. 16. -- William Johnson died at his late residence Saturday evening of a tuberculosis abscess on his neck, aged 68 years. With his wife, he arrived in this country in May 1855 and settled in this city.
His wife died in this city December 29 1865. He was again married, and his last wife survives, also seven children by his first wife -- William C., Harry W., Mrs. William Adcock, Mary Elizabeth, Robert E., George and Ruth, all of this city; and Charles, of Galesburg.
He had two children by his second wife, both now deceased -- Samuel and Walter Herbert.
Mr. Johnson has been a prominent businessman of this city for years, being a brick mason and a contractor.
