PIKEVILLE Billy Everett, 81, passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, Feb. 13, 2012.He was a retired farmer and worked for the Bledsoe County School System as a bus driver for many years until his retirement. He was a member of New Harmony Church of Christ. He also volunteered with the Rigsby Fire Department.Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Dow Everett and Susie Belle Hancock Everett; son, Timothy Lloyd Everett; brother, Larry David; sisters, Maxine Allen, Geraldine Everett, Lila Belle Everett, Jackie Morris and Patricia Diane Everett.He is survived and will be missed by his wife of over 50 years, Sue Everett; son, Tommy Clayton (Penny) Everett; daughters, Billie Frances (Raymond) Pratt, of Crossville, Tenn., Sonja Rene (Bill) Newman, Dayton, Tenn.; grandchildren, Noel Pratt, Levi Calbaugh, Ashley Fife, Tate and Tanner Everett; great-grandchildren, Grace and Austin Pratt, Paisley Wilson, Ian Fife, Maysen Leigh Calbaugh; brothers, Bobby Gene Everett, Lonnie Everett and Gary (Teressa) Everett, all of Pikeville; sisters, Mary Ellen (J.B.) McDowell, Shirley (Tom) Everett, Charlotte Burgess, Martha (Arthur) McKechnie, Linda Smith, Brenda (Joe) Powell, Lydia (John) Griffin; and special niece, Anne McKechnie Bowman; many more nieces and nephews and special friends.
Celebration of Billys life will be held at 11 a.m. Wedesday, Feb 15, 2012, in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Rigsby Cemetery.
