Joe William "J.W." Biri, 68, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 at his home.

He was born April 12, 1943, in Cape Girardeau, son of Joseph and Lola McLard Biri. He and Patsey M. Musgrave were married February 19, 1966 in Jackson.

Joe graduated from Jackson High School in 1962 and served six years in the Missouri National Guard. He worked as a mechanic for a total of 52 years for the former Fredrich Automobiles, the former Hieders Auto, Brennecke Chevrolet in Jackson, the former Dean Taylor Cadillac and Crown Cadillac and Olds in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed woodworking, flower gardening, electronic repairs, and drag racing. He was a life-long member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include his wife of 45 years; two sons, Michel (Tammy) Biri, Jason (Mary Smith) Biri, of Jackson; daughter, Connie (Brady) Nielson of Noblesville, IN; sister, Vanda Gossage of Rolla, MO; grandsons, Trever Biri and Spencer Biri of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call Tuesday, February 14, 2012, from 4-8 PM at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at 10:30 AM, at the funeral home, with Pastor Tommy Weems officiating.

Interment will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
