Dessa was proud of her Methodist faith. She was quiet, so very un-assuming, kind, loving, helpful, the best baker I ever knew and generous with her love and praise to all her family and friends. She is still so much in our hearts after all these years and greatly missed.
If, I could have one more day with anyone I ever knew..it would be with my Grams Dessa. She let me try on her false teeth when I was very young and laughed with me. She jumped rope with me at past 70 years old when her legs with swollen with pain, she baked me an angel food cake on every birthday, she always had candy in her pocket for me, and she always praised me, encouraged me, read and sang to me and made me feel like I was the most important person in her world. I know your watching...I love you..and wish I could once more give you a huge bouquet of pink carnations.
