Christine Ashley, 91, of Bassett, died March 8, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville. She was born July 19, 1916, to Lee Mize and Molly Turner Mize. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Presley Ashley, three sisters and one brother.
She was the owner of Ashley's Trailer Park and a member of Old Center Primitive Baptist Church for 73 years.
Surviving are six sons, Hubert Ashley, Paul Ashley, Wayne Ashley, Norman Ashley, Curtis Ashley and Herman Ashley; three daughters, Layne Lusk, Mary Wright and Hattie Campbell; 23 grandchildren.
Burial will be at Old Center Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
