Thelma Davis Whisman, 87, of Ridgewood Lane, Mt. Sterling passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at the St. Joseph-Mt. Sterling Hospital. She was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on December 7, 1924 the daughter of the late Arthur and Lucy Ring Davis. She was a member of the Hope First Church of God and former employee of Enoch Manufacturing, Mt. Sterling Auto Auction and Whisman Auto Sales.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Whisman of Mt. Sterling; one son, Benny (Ann) Whisman of Mt. Sterling; one sister, Sarah Donaldson Blevins of Mt. Sterling and three grandchildren, Ben, Sarah and Elizabeth Whisman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Schooler, Fannie Goodpaster and Pearl Wood McLean; and seven brothers, John, Jess, Robert, Elmer, Wesley, Carl and Arthur Davis.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Stanley Hutchinson, Rodney Williams and Glennis Sizemore officiating and burial following in the Machpelah Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday evening from 5 PM – 9 PM at the Taul Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to the Hope First Church of God.
