Ada was born Oct. 13, 1916, in Greensburg, the daughter of Roy and Emma Bowman Little.
She attended schools in Reno County. A Hutchinson resident from 1942-1982, she retired as the bookkeeper at Duckwall's Dept. Store. She and her husband then moved to Sleepy Valley Ranch, Mission, Texas. She moved back to Hutchinson in 2010.
Ada married Phillip E. Darrow on Aug. 21, 1937, in Manhattan. He died Sept. 25, 2000.
Survivors include: a son, Lance; two brothers, Edwin Little, El Dorado, and Lewis Little, California; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers.
A private family graveside service is planned. Friends may sign a register book Monday thrrough Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. The casket will be closed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the donor's choice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
