CANDOR.
Candor, Feb. 13.--Shepard D. Fessenden, aged 74 years, died at his home in Owego street Feb. 12. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. B. L. Lyon officiated. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Archie Fessenden, of California, and Clifford Fessenden, of Candor, and two daughters, Mrs. Marion Willsey, of Binghamton,and Mrs. Neta Gridley, of this place.

Feb. 15.--David S. Fessenden died on Friday, Feb. 13, at his home, on Owego Street, after an illness of less than two weeks, the only illness he had during his life that confined him to his bed. His immediate survivors are his wife, Mrs. Minnie B. Fessenden; two sons, Archie S. Fessenden, of Burbank, Calif., and Clifford Fessenden, of Candor; two daughters, Mrs. S. S. Gridley, of Candor, and Mrs. G. Mead Willsey, of Binghamton; one brother W. M. Fessenden, of Kingston; also several grandchildren. Mr. Fessenden was born in Peruville, Jan. 16, 1852. He came to Candor with his parents when a small boy and has lived here for the past 68 years. He was a cabinet maker by occupation and kept the present store on Main Street for the last 28 years, together with the undertaking business. He was past master of Candor Lodge, No. 411, F. and A. M.; a charter member of Veritas Lodge, No. 686, I. O. O. F.; a charter member of Alpha Hose Co. He served as president of the Village of Candor, and as justice of the peace for a number of years. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon at the home. The Rev. B. L. Lyon, pastor of the Methodist Church, of which Mr. Fessenden was a member, had charge of the service. The burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
