On Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 27th, your pastor was called back to his former parish in Maryland to conduct the funeral service for Ira C. Otto, who died at his home near Uniontown, on Nov. 25, 1945. He was stricken with paralysis on Thanksgiving Day and failed to recover. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bessie Otto and the following children: Mrs. Carl Garver, Westminister, MD.; Mrs. Grace Despeaux, Frederick, Md.; John Otto, US Navy; Ira Otto Jr., recently discharged from the Navy and Kenneth Otto also at home and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from his late home on Nov. 27th, your pastor (Rev. M. L. Kroh) conducting the service, assisted by Rev. Charles Brix, Uniontown, Md. His body was laid to rest in Pipe Creek cemetery.
