Funeral services for Mr. Gary A. McDonald, 66, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Watson and Bro. Jerry Buck officiating. Burial was in Allens Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. McDonald died Tuesday, Feb. 19 at his home. He was a carpenter in home construction, attended Standing Stone Praise and Worship Center, and was a member of Christ Bible Baptist Church in Celina.

Born December 10, 1941, in Overton County, he was the son of Myrtle (Brown) McDonald of Livingston and the late Elliot "Tick" McDonald.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Lois "Trudy" McDonald of Livingston; 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Teresa Carter of Huber Heights, OH, Gary L. and Rita McDonald and Larry D. and Betty McDonald, all of Monroe, and Jeff and Dana McDonald of Livingston; 2 brothers, Cecil McDonald of Anderson, IN and Danny Lee McDonald of Allons; 7 sisters, Betty Abbott, Diane Worley, Joann Greenwood, and Patricia Gore, all of Livingston, Lily Mae Pennington and Edith Murphy, both of Rickman, and Joyce Bilbrey of Celina; 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Brian McDonald, Billy Witt, Bobby Carter, Gary Carter, Brandon McDonald, and Ryan McDonald.

Honorary pallbearers were Jamie Greenwood, Waymond Daniels, Steven Walker, Steve Carter, and Ron Carter.
