Diane was raised in Acton, Ontario during her younger years along with her brother Brian and their mother. Her father had been killed during WWII and her mother passed away when Diane was eleven years old. She lived with her mom's relatives in Guelph for a couple of years before moving to Toronto with to live with her dad's relatives. She moved to Guelph around 1958 where she met Jack Kuenzig. They married and had six children .... the first child died at birth. Other than living in Eden Mills and Everton for short periods they raised their children in Guelph. They spent their later years living in Font Hill, Ontario. Names of their children: Derrick, Wendy, Barbara, Maureen, and Michael.
