Mrs. Leonard Bieck
Mrs. Leonard Bieck died at her home in the town of Hebron on Saturday morning, March 9th, 1918, at the age of 68 years, 6 months and 2 days. She had been ill only a few days.
Margaret Bienfang was born in the town of Jefferson, September 7th, 1849. She was married to Mr. Leonard Bieck, April 26th, 1868, and to them were born five sons and five daughters. Mr. Bieck preceded his wife to the great beyond about twelve years ago.
Mrs. Bieck was greatly loved by all her neighbors and friends for miles around. She was ever ready to offer her services when any misfortune overtook a friend and her many kind acts will long be remembered.
She leaves five sons, John of Edgerton, Emil of the town of Jefferson, Charles, Frank and Henry of the town of Hebron; five daughters, Mrs. Caroline Kiessling of Helenville, Mrs. Mary Haas of Johnson Creek, Miss Annie of the town of Hebron, Misses Eda and Lydia of Fort Atkinson; her aged mother, Mrs. Barbara Bienfang of Watertown, who is 93 years old; one brother, Charles Bienfang of Whitewater; four sisters, Mrs. Barbars Schallert of Texas, Mrs. Caroline Menzel and Mrs. Fred Braun of Ft. Atkinson, Mrs. George E. Henry of Jefferson and a number of grandchildren. Three brothers, George Bienfang, Sr., George Bienfang, Jr. and Henry Bienfang preceded her in death.
The funeral services were held at her late home yesterday afternoon and interment took place in the cemetery at Helenville. The Rev. Edward Fredrich officiated.
