Carlton M. Maclin, 46, of 1013 Poindexter, a lifelong resident and a city policeman since 1935, died Sunday morning in a hospital after an illness of four years.
Maclin was the son of another longtime policeman, the late Addison C. Maclin, who retired in 1951 after 30 years on the force and died that same year.
The younger Maclin had to leave the force about two years ago because of his health.
Maclin attended Central (now Paschal) High School. He was a member of First Christian Church and was an Odd Fellow.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Roland and Addison Maclin of Fort Worth; a daughter, Mrs. C. E. Seyster of Dallas, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lucas Chapel, with Rev. L. D. Anderson officiating, assisted by Rev. James Hatley. Burial will be in Greenwood.
