From the El Reno (OK) Daily Tribune, Friday, April 24, 1936, p. 8:

Rites for Mrs. Mattie Sharp, 69, who died Thursday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. D. E. Herndon, 621 South Macomb avenue, were held at 3 p.m. riday at the Benson funeral home. Although Mrs. Sharp had been in ill health for two years, her death was unexpected.

Rev. J. W. Hodges, pastor of the First Baptist church, and Rev. Holmes Nichols, former pastor, will conduct the services here. The body will be taken at midnight to Fort Worth, Tex., where last rites have been scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Hodges will accompany the body and conduct the services there. Burial will be in a Fort Worth cemetery.

In addition to the daughter, Mrs. Sharp is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. S. Thompson of Greenville, Tex., and Mrs. Stella Barlow, Bowie, Tex., and two brothers, Capers Beaman of Greenville, and Robert Beaman of Decatur, Tex.

Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Bellamy and daughter, Bonnie Jean, of Amarillo, Tex., were called here by the death of her aunt, Mrs. Mattie Sharp, and will accompany her cousin, Mrs. D. E. Herndon, Mr. Herndon and other relatives to Fort Worth, Tex., where burial will be made.
