RIVER OAKS - Lucile Brown of River Oaks, a former seamstress and designer, died Monday at a Fort Worth nursing home. She was 90.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Brown was born in Valley View and had lived in Fort Worth and River Oaks since 1923. She was a business manager for Langston's Bakery in the 1920s and 1930s and later began designing and sewing clothing.
Mrs. Brown enjoyed visiting her son, Patrick Cranshaw, an actor who appeared in such productions as Night Court, AfterMash, Dukes of Hazzard and the old Bob Newhart Show. She had a collection of photographs in which she posed with the shows' stars and her son.
Mrs. Brown also enjoyed entering her hand work in the annual Senior Citizens Fair. She was a member of the Moose Lodge Auxiliary and was an avid bingo fan, her son said.
Mrs. Brown was a former member of Broadway Baptist Church and St. Paul's Catholic Church in River Oaks. She was the widow of T. C. Brown.
Survivors: Daughter, Billie Gillespie of River Oaks; son, Patrick Cranshaw of Fort Worth and Van Nuys, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
