Mrs. Marion was born Feb. 20, 1915, in Carroll County to Henry and Minnie Tolbert Easter.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Arlene Ingram of Mount Airy and Josie and C.W. Smith of Rural Hall; a son and daughter-in-law, Harlin and Peggy Marion of Mount Airy; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lelia Flippen, Lillian Christian and Sally Marion, all of Mount Airy.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Marion was preceded in death by two brothers, Victor Easter and William Easter.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2002, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel of Mount Airy, conducted by Elder Lacy Gates and speaker Avery Smith. Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
