Notes:
(Dora L. Mollie Allen she is known as Mollie Lee Burleson)
Dora L. Mollie Allen Burleson, age 77, she died March 19, 1963 at the home of Cecil and Clota Burleson, Route 1, Asheville, N.C. and she is buried at Azalea Cemetery of Asheville.
A native of Dillingham of Barnardsville, of Buncombe County, N.C. She was born December 26, 1885 to James Marion 'Dot' Allen 1852 - 1922 and Sarah Evelyn Burlison Allen 1845 - 1937, Mollie parents is buried at Town Branch Cemetery, Barnardsville of Buncombe County, N.C. They did lived in Buckeye Cove of Swannanoa, N.C.

Dora L. Mollie Allen or Mollie Lee Allen (she is known as Mollie) was married December 27, 1904 to Wilburn Robertson Burleson in Buncombe County, N.C. and Wilburn parents are Barnett Weaver Burleson 1857 - 1915 and Elizabeth Fatima Lavinia Haynes 1863 -1938, they are buried Greenwood Cemetery near Barnardsville of Buncombe County, N.C.

Wilburn and Mollie lived in Barnardsville on North Main Forks of Ivy where they had 40 acres of land, they purchased for $500. Then later moved to Old Fort of McDowell County where their youngest son, Gilbert, was born in 1927, a old log cabin on mountain side, where they farm. This location is on the old US 70 that was used to go to Black Mountain Swannanoa Valley, before Old Fort Mountain and Ridgecrest of the new I-40 highway was build, and where the Cherokee used for hunting grounds and during war and burial grounds and Cherokee Trails. This on East side of West College Street of Holman University Subdivision (which now is Ridgecrest Assembly) but is in Old Fort area more to the West; Then later they moved to East Asheville at Azalea area where they purchased acres of land and build new homes until Wilburn had his heart attack and died. Her youngest son Gilbert and Wilburn, her husband and others, had been building new rooftop at their new house and old barn roofing, a all day job, when Gib left to go to hardware store in Swannanoa with horse and wagon to get more lumber and supplies, Wilburn had a heart attack and died. He had went home to eat supper and lay down to rest and was found dead in the bed at home. A family member hurried to Swannanoa to get Gib, and they hurried home and by that time Wilburn was already dead on the way to the hospital with the doctor. This was when US70 hwy was only two lane road and still had horse and wagon or Tmodel and very few new cars.
Later on in years, Mollie died, at the home of her son Cecil and daughter-in-law Clota homeplace, in East Asheville where she lived, known as Burleson Road.
Mollie is a Baptist, she is a member of Vance Avenue Baptist Church in Black Mountain. She read her Bible daily and often talk about Jesus to her children and grandchildren. She would sang songs and tell us stories of Jesus of the Bible. She was a good Wife, and Mother and Granny and was loved by many people she knew. Mollie looked a lot like her own Mother, Sarah Evelyn Burlison Allen who married James Marion 'Dot' Allen of Barnardsville.
Mollie, used a walker, later she used a wheelchair. She would have to drink from a straw and she would pour warm hot wax or water on her hands and body of joints, to relieve the pain. Mollie had Rhueumatoid Disease of Crippling Arthritis that left her fingers crooked, hands swollen and knuckles white with huge bumps, her body very fragile, she could not walk, she got Respiratory disorders, had to use oxygen and bad eyesight lost of vision of The Macular Degeneration Disease and being so sick, Mollie soon was bedridden, when she later got Pneumonia of the Lungs and died on March 19, 1963. Mollie died with her family surrounding her with final goodbyes of love. Otto her son, was holding her or hugging her in his arms, to let her know she was loved, by all, when she died in his arms.
