Born in Essex, son of the late Lewis W. and Isabelle(Stowe)Andrews, he lived in Beverly most of his life.
He was a machinist for USM Corp. for many years and was a member of the USM Quarter Century Club.
He was known as a former free-lance writer for outdoor magazines.
In addition to his wife, he leaves one son, Allan R. Andrews of Springfield; two daughters, Ann, wife of Norman M. Michaud, and Marilyn, wife of George F. McDermott, both of Danvers; brothers, Lewis Andrews of Essex, and Irving Andrews of California; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services from Campbell Funeral Home, Cabot St., Beverly tomorrow. Burial will be in the Spring Street Cemetery.
