Clarence Lawrence "C.L." Bradley, age 69, of Lenoir, N.C., died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory. Born Jan. 18, 1943, in Mountain City, Ga., he was a son of the late Clarence and Coleen Dills Bradley and the husband of the late Deborah "Debbie" Dunn Bradley. Other than his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Ray Sawyer.

C.L. was a retired supervisor with NAACO, a carpenter and cabinet builder. He was a member of Calvary Advent Christian Church and known for doing anything for others, putting himself self last. He loved the outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, barbecuing and going on cruises. Every Thursday, you would find him having dinner with Aunt Veta Mae.

He is survived by one daughter, Lisa (Todd) Bradley Helton of Lenoir; two sons, Toby Bradley of Charleston, S.C., and Danny (Danielle) Bradley of Lenoir; two sisters, Shirley (Jim) Riggan of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Barbara Ann (Lance) Carter of Lenoir; three brothers, Junior Sawyer of Morganton, N.C., Jimmy (Nancy) Sawyer of Morganton and Jerry Lee (Victoria) Sawyer of Lenoir; and his grandchildren, Nash Huffman, Kirsten Huffman, Dustin Helton, Cameron Helton, Rylan Bradley, Nick Bradley and Avery Bradley. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Gloria Dunn of Lenoir; his aunt, Veta Mae Southard of Lenoir; his uncle, Rodney Martin of Kingman; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of C.L.'s life will be held at 3 p.m. today, at Calvary Advent Christian Church with Reverend Jim Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Flemings Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 2:30 p.m. today, at Calvary Advent Christian Church. Pallbearers will be: Nash Huffman, Dustin Helton, Cameron Helton, Mike Benge, Brandon Sawyer, Kevin Riggan, David Riggan and Eric Riggan.
