David D. Ballard, 48, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Sunday, Sept. 30, 2007. An associate of Honda of America for almost 25 years, his main joy was spending time with his family.
In past years, he enjoyed Little League coaching, tournament fishing, snowmobiling and playing baseball and golf. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians. He also liked working on the farm with his father. He was born Aug. 1, 1959, in Columbus, and was predeceased by his grandmother, Ruth E. Ballard.
He is survived by his wife, April A. Ballard, of Marysville; his children, Angela Lewis, David "Wes" (Stephanie) Ballard, Dewey, Daniel and Abbygayle Ballard, Tina Pyles and Dale "Bud" Pyles Jr., all of Marysville; four grandchildren, Justin, Aaron and Ashley Lewis and Chloe Ballard; his parents, David L. and Marilyn J. Ballard of Marysville; two sisters, Sheila (Herman) Richardson of Mt. Victory, and Korina Cormany of Marysville; a niece, Sara Edwards, and a nephew, Josh Edwards, both of Marysville; two special aunts, Polly Lantz and Faye Graham, both of Columbus; and his father- and mother-in-law, Oakley and Glenna Estep of Marysville. At the deceased's request, there will be no calling hours. The family will conduct private graveside services.
