John Leslie Sharpe, was the son of Moore Irwin Sharpe and Catherine Rebecca Johnson.

He married Bertha Loita Pyle, on 8 July 1913, in Harding county, Iowa. To this union were born; George Moore Sharpe and Irwin Pyle Sharpe.

JOHN SHARPE....Services for John Sharpe, 77, of Rural Route 1, Crete, will be held at 8 pm tomorrow in the chapel at 753 Hodges Street, Beecher. Mr. Sharpe who died Saturday was an employee of the Illinois Central railroad for 50 years. At the time of his retirement in 1960, he was auditor of passengers station accounts. Mr. Sharpe was Crete township assessor, and a past master of the Odd Fellows of Chicago Heights. He also was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Lions International. He is survived by his widow, Bertha; two sons Irwin and George, eight grandchildren; a great grandchild; and a sister.
