Noah was born January 22, 1872, in Montana, the son of Evan J. and Amelia (Davis) Harris. On November 6, 1885, Noah died from diphtheria.

Noah was buried on the ranch.

Herrmann & Co. Funeral Home: November 6, Harris. Farmer, velvet coffin $15.00, paid by cash $10.00, March 6 cord of wood $5.00, paid in full.

“Diphtheria in the Valley. Another death from diphtheria occurred this morning in the valley, the victim being the 13 year old son of Mr. E. J. Harris. A physician was called last evening and at about 1 o’clock this morning the boy breathed his last. Mr. Harris has other children, but none besides the one who died has been attacked by the disease.” Helena Daily Herald, 11/6/1885.

The Harris Ranch was located SE quarter of the NW quarter and the lots numbered 3, 4 and 5 of Section 6 in Township 10 North, Range 3 West of Montana Meridian in Montana Territory containing 148.14 acres, Letters Patent, dated January 14, 1888, and recorded May 1, 1890, in Vol. 1 U.S., Page 375, Homestead Certificate No. 898, Application 1648, United States to Evan J. Harris. The property was sold and later became the Forestvale Cemetery. [The first burial in Forestvale was in September 1890] It is unknown where the original Harris burials were located. It is assumed that these graves were not located in the Forestvale Cemetery proper since records indicate that the Harris children’s graves were removed from “old cemetery” and placed in Lot 126, Valleyview, Forestvale Cemetery.

On January 4, 5, 6, 1893, the Harris children were moved to Forestvale Cemetery by the Association, the owner of Lot was E. J. Harris, buried Valleyview Section, lot 126.
