J. Fabian Busch, Mrs. J. F .Byrnes' Brother, Dies
Aiken, May 25 — (Special) — J. Fabian Busch, 76, died at his home at 3:30 this morning.
Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Sidney Heath from the St. Thaddeus Episcopal church at 11 o'clock Friday morning. Burial will be in the Bethany cemetery.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mary Sands Turner Busch; one daughter, Mrs. Helen B. Mattison of Aiken; one son, Dr. J. F. Busch of Marietta, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. James F. Byrnes of Spartanburg; one brother, Claud W. Busch of Aiken; and one grandson, Richard Mattison of Aiken.
Mr. Busch was born at Aiken and spent all his life here. He attended public school and Richmond Academy in Augusta, Ga., and was graduated in 1891 from a college in Baltimore Md. He then returned to Aiken and entered the mercantile business. He was a member of the board of trustees for the Aiken institute and served as secretary and treasurer for many years. Mr. Busch retired from business in 1936.
A lifelong member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal church, at the time of his death, he was the oldest communicant of the church.
