Mrs. Abbie Peach Hassell Mrs. Abbie Peach Hassell, 90, of Franklin died Thursday, July 29, at Williamson Medical Center. Mrs. Hassell was born in Maury County, but made her home in Franklin, where she formerly served as a nurse's aid at Lofton Nursing Home. She was a member of Fourth Avenue Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Hassell. She is survived by her sons, James Aliard Hassell of Franklin, Gerald Hassell and wife Betty of Eagleville, Fleming Hassell of the Boston community, Wayne Hassell and wife Barbara of Nashville, Donald (Duck) Hassell and wife Mary of the Boston community; daughter, Louise Eley of Franklin; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.... -- The Review Appeal (7/30/99)
