....A large concourse of friends and neighbors had the sad privilege of attending the funeral of our friend and neighbor, Henry Gaines, who died at Leonard Monday night, February 7th (sic). He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gaines. He had been confined to his bed only two weeks, although he had not seen a well day for three or four years. He suffered from kidney trouble. He took the grip and other troubles set in. His funeral was held at the church at Leonard. He leaves a wife, one son, one daughter, an aged mother, who is nearly 80 years old, three sisters and three brothers to mourn his loss. His relatives have the sympamy of all the neighbors....
